Bakjes, zakjes en flessen: dit zijn de schoolspullen van onze vierjarige
Vlak voordat onze dochter naar de basisschool zou gaan, ontving ik een nieuwsbrief van webshop Blabloom met daarin allerlei duurzame schoolspullen. Een mail vol leuke én goede spullen waar ik spontaan enthousiast van werd. Kijk maar eens hier, ik schreef er dit blog over duurzame schoolspullen over. Dat duurzame, dat wilde ik ook. Benieuwd naar welke bakjes, zakjes en flessen wij uiteindelijk aangeschaft hebben? Ik laat je de set schoolspullen van onze vierjarige zien.
Duurzame schoolspullen voor het tien-uurtje
Het eerste eetmoment op de basisschool is het ’tien-uurtje’: fruit, eventueel 1 koekje erbij, en wat drinken. In plaats van plastic bakjes, koos ik voor een herbruikbaar snackzakje van Keep Leaf: licht, makkelijk te sluiten met klittenband en kan in de wasmachine of vaatwasser.
Ook gebruik ik soms een stasher bag, een herbruikbaar plastic zakje. Als vervanging van plastic bakjes zou je ook kunnen kiezen voor RVS snackdoosjes of de waanzinnig mooie silicone snackdoosjes van Liewood.
Voor het drinkmoment zocht ik een herbruikbare fles, die dochterlief zelf makkelijk open zou kunnen maken. Het werd een rietjesbeker van Petit Monkey – niet zeker of deze duurzaam geproduceerd is, maar de glitters in de dubbelwandige drinkfles maken het drinken van water aantrekkelijk(er). En dat vond ik ook heel wat waard, in plaats van haar sap mee te geven.
Duurzame schoolspullen voor de lunch
Tweemaal per week luncht Lis op school. Daarvoor ging ik op zoek naar een broodtrommel en drinkfles.
Thuis drinkt ze altijd warme melk (melk + thee) bij de lunch, dus zocht ik naar een thermosfles. Liefst zo roze mogelijk – voorkeur van de dochter – en zo vond ik bij Blabloom een thermos van Klean Kanteen. Omdat we deze gebruiken voor melk, draai ik de dop vrij stevig dicht en is deze daardoor lastig zelf open te krijgen voor een vierjarige. Er is wel een sportdop voor de flessen te koop, maar ik begreep dat deze niet 100% lekvrij is. De Klean Kanteen drinkflessen zijn gemaakt van roestvrij staal dat volledig vrij is van BPA, PVC, ftalaten en lood en de organisatie doneert 1% van z’n omzet aan verschillende milieuorganisaties. Ook de duurzame merken Fresk en Liewood hebben trouwens mooie thermosflessen in de collectie.
De broodtrommel was nog wel de grootste uitdaging, want ik had een wensenlijstje. Er moesten verschillende vakjes in zitten, de broodtrommel moest roze zijn (wederom: wens van dochterlief) en liefst niet al te prijzig. Ik heb heel lang getwijfeld over de aankoop van een Yumbox, maar uiteindelijk kwam ik de vriendelijker geprijsde lunchboxen van Sistema tegen die aan al mijn eisen voldeden. De broodtrommel is gemakkelijk zelf open te maken en heeft vier vakken, plus een doosje waarin bijvoorbeeld yoghurt meegenomen kan worden. Ik heb dit al meerdere malen gedaan en er is geen druppel gelekt. De verschillende vakjes ‘dwingen’ mij om verschillende dingen mee te geven, zo gaat er naast de boterham ook vaak komkommer, stukjes appel, rozijntjes of een klein Babybel kaasje mee in de broodtrommel.

Het is dus aardig gelukt een aantal duurzame schoolspullen te vinden, die bovendien ook nog prettig in gebruik zijn. Duurzaam hoeft trouwens niet per se roze te zijn hoor ;).
